About Sentinel RF

Built by a two-way radio company, not a software company.

Sentinel RF is built by Stolz Telecom, a working two-way radio operation, for the dealers and integrators who keep two-way systems on the air and the organizations that hold the licenses they run on.

Stolz Telecom

More than twenty years of two-way radio.

Stolz Telecom is headquartered in Oklahoma City with a regional office in Denton, Texas, and has worked across Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Kansas for more than twenty years. It provides two-way radio systems, system design and RF engineering, maintenance and repair, and mission-critical P25 networks and dispatch consoles for public safety, and has served more than 500 agencies.

Why it exists

The problem every shop has and nobody staffs for.

The senior tech who could align anything retires, and thirty years of knowing where to look leaves with them. Most operations cannot justify a full-time RF engineer either, so link budgets get eyeballed, intermod turns up after the interference complaint, and a renewal gets caught late, or not at all.

The tools in Sentinel RF exist because we needed them on our own bench first. They are built to the standard we hold our own work to: an answer has to be checkable, and the math has to be the same every time.

How we hold it to that standard.

  • No citation, no answer. A factual answer names the document and page it came from, and a question the library does not cover gets that said plainly.
  • The arithmetic is deterministic code with automated tests, never improvised. The free calculators on this site are checked against the product's own tools on every change.
  • Every screenshot on this site is a live system. The coverage studies run on our own FCC license, WQQS321, from registered structure ASR 1210193, at the frequency, height and power the license states. See them on the coverage studies page.
  • Customers' documents stay inside their own operation, and the isolation is tested on every code change.

Sentinel RF supports technicians with cited answers and engineering calculations. It is not an engineer of record, and it does not replace licensed engineering review on life-safety or public-safety system designs.

Questions about the product, a pilot for your operation, or a walkthrough on your own site. A real person at Stolz Telecom reads every message.
